The Rev. Dr. Thomas Coye, Pastor

  Tom is a native of western New York. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1966, Cornell University in 1970, and Princeton Theological Seminary in 1973. He received his Doctorate in Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1983. In his free time he enjoys bicycling, camping, kayaking, and working on computers. He and his spouse, Linda, have a son. Tom has been pastor at St. Andrews since July of 1988, shortly after the congregation was chartered. 

 

The Rev. Dr. Judith Thomson, Family Ministry Chaplain

  Judy grew up in New Jersey.  She has an A.B. in English from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and an M.A. in English from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.  Her M.Div. is from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, MA, and her D.Min. is from the Boston University School of Theology.  She is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counseling.  Judy and her husband, Jim Myers, moved to Mathews County in 2005.  They have one son, who is a graduate student in engineering.  She enjoys reading, gardening, movies, and learning about the Tidewater area of Virginia.

 

Christy Smith, Administrative Assistant

  Christy grew up in Laurel, MD, and moved to the Northern Neck in 1981. She and her husband have two children. Aside from her duties at the church, she likes to play on the water, read, and work in the garden. She has been the church's Administrative Assistant since 1997.  

 

Mary Ann Goodall, Director of Music

  Mary Ann is a third generation Washingtonian. She and her husband moved to the Northern Neck in June of 1995. She is a retired music teacher.  She has been the director of "The Rising Star" children's choir for Northumberland and Lancaster Counties. She has also been guest conductor for various choirs, and has taught the course "The Child Voice". Mary Ann has been involved in church music for 30 years. In her free time she and her husband like to travel in their motor home with their cat and two dogs.

 

Margie George, Childcare

  Margie is a native of the Northern Neck. She is the mother of two and a grandmother of three. In her free time she enjoys growing roses and fishing. Childcare is also one of her loves, and St. Andrews’ youngsters have thoroughly enjoyed "Miss Margie" since 2000.

Nancy Lee, Faith Community Nurse

 Nancy grew up in Hampton, VA and graduated from the MCV School of Nursing in Richmond, VA.  She and her husband retired to the Northern Neck area in 1998.  In her role as the Faith Community Nurse at SAPC, Nancy stresses the importance of having a healthy mind, body and spirit.  Even though someone may be dealing with a chronic and/or terminal illness, a healthy spirit can be a great source of strength and comfort.  She encourages a healthy lifestyle for all ages through classes, a Lunch & Learn program, activity programs and written materials.
